The Oscar-winning actress was presented the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Gala on Wednesday afternoon (December 4) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. Nicole‘s Big Little Lies co-star Laura Dern presented her with the award.

Last night, in the name of trying to do it all, I was at the choir concert watching her sing. We then got on a plane, and we came here and I started crying because my mama loved, and she loved education,” Nicole said.
