Nicola Sturgeon has praised Humza Yousaf and his partner Nadia El-Nakla for a 'brave account' of their miscarriage experience, despite it sparking 'awful memories' for her.

The First Minister has applauded Scotland's Justice Minister and his partner for publicly revealing they 'experienced five pregnancies, with just one of those resulting in a baby' in the past three years.

It comes after she suffered her own miscarriage in the early stages of pregnancy in 2011, admitting the pain 'never leaves you'.

Now she is urging others to come forward claiming 'we don’t talk about all this enough.'Humza shared his tragic experience after Nadia lost another baby during lockdown.Writing on the Holyrood website he said: "It’s the most helpless I’ve ever.
