Drake Bell has admitted to being on a deeply "emotional rollercoaster" following his disclosure as a victim of abuse. The ex-Drake and Josh star bravely spoke out six months back about being the anonymous minor in the 2003 sexual assault case involving former Nickelodeon dialect coach Brian Peck.

After sharing his experience of "extensive and brutal" abuse in the Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV documentary, Drake has been overwhelmed by the wave of support.

Speaking to E! News, he expressed relief and astonishment at the reaction: "It's an emotional roller coaster." He also opened up about how long-held secrets felt like "You keep something inside like that for so many years and it's like torture," saying, "Oh my god, the world knows, and I didn't know how people were going to react [to the docuseries] But it's been a lot of support and it's been nice." The 38 year old went on to praise Josh Peck, his colleague from Drake and Josh, affirming their bond as "We're like real brothers" and crediting Josh with unwavering support: "He's always been an incredible support and, the thing is, he always knew my story, so nothing really changed.

It was just him coming to me and being like, 'I'm there for you.'"
