Nick Hewer admits 10 years at Channel 4's Countdown is 'long enough' weeks before exit

Express.co.uk that he will feel a sense of “bereavement” when he steps down from the programme, but ultimately his time on the show has been “long enough” and now seeks to pursue less “time consuming” commitments.Opening up on how he feels about leaving the iconic game show, Nick said: “Well it hasn’t sort of hit me, I’m sure I will have a sense of bereavement, because I’m in my tenth year but I carry on filming until May. “So that means I will carry on being onscreen until June or July, then it will sort of hit me I guess. “But it has been great fun, but ten years is long enough.

Other things will pop up that are not as time-consuming. “Countdown was a big commitment - I think sometimes ten years is enough, you can’t go on forever and ever.
