The Membership Flame – the NFU Scotland award that recognises outstanding efforts in recruitment and retention of members – has gone to the hard-working Nigel Power from the Lanark office.Looking after the interests of the union’s Clydesdale branch, the Lanark office team based at Lanark Market and headed up by Nigel Power, ended the year surpassing their targeted subscription income set for 2024 and excelling in all the competition criteria to beat stiff opposition from other agencies across the country.Presenting the award at the union’s annual conference and AGM in Glasgow, NFU Scotland president, Martin Kennedy, said: “Determining the winners of the 2025 Membership Flame Award was not an easy task.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
