Newcastle United have sent a metaphorical hands-off warning to Manchester City after making a decision on midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
The Brazilian has been a stalwart for the Magpies since joining from Lyon in January 2022. The 26-year-old has become a fan favourite and his performances last season attracted the attention of several clubs this summer.
Alongside City, Arsenal and Liverpool have all shown interest in the defensive midfielder whose release clause expired earlier in the transfer window.
