WHEN Laura Whitmore quit as the host of Love Island, fans called on 2022 winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu to replace her. Speaking for the first time since The Sun revealed Maya Jama will take on the top job instead, Ekin-Su has praised ITV2's decision.
But she refused to rule out going for the presenting role in future. Ekin-Su told The Sun in an exclusive interview at her Oh Polly launch: "I love her [Maya].
She's beautiful, funny, intelligent, sexy. She's everything that you'd look for in a Love Island presenter. "I think ITV2 have done a wise pick choosing her.
The first show she presents is going to be great." Responding to demand from fans for her to host Love Island instead, Ekin added: "I couldn't believe how many people wanted me to do it.
