New advocacy agency set up to help Lanarkshire disabled people apply for benefits

A new advocacy service has been created to allow disabled people access help in applying for Scottish social security benefits.The new service is being delivered by VoiceAbility, an independent organisation of the Scottish Government and Social Security Scotland.The support is available at no cost for disabled people applying for any of Social Security Scotland’s current and future benefits such as Child Disability Payment and Adult Disability Payment.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
