Netflix star addresses 'pressure' of stepping into Michelle Keegan's shoes in new thriller

Netflix has teamed up with esteemed mystery novelist Harlan Coben once again for another thriller dropping on New Year’s Day.

It comes after the phenomenal success of Fool Me Once starring actress Michelle Keegan, which became Netflix’s most-viewed series of 2024 after gaining over 100 million watches around the world globe.

In 2025, it is Slow Horses actress Rosalind Eleazar who takes on the role of protagonist Detective Kat Donovan - and it could be a career-defining part for the star.

Speaking to Reach and other publications, Rosalind opened up about stepping into Michelle’s shoes. Asked if the “pressure was on” as she prepared to take on the leading role in what is sure to be another hit for Netflix, the actress revealed: “Hilariously, I got this job before Fool Me Once came out. “And then when Fool Me Once came out… I mean, it’s been watched by everyone - like, the population of America or something ridiculous. [It was] such a huge success. “So of course, there's a part of you that goes, ‘Oh f**, I hope I…’ But weirdly, that quickly goes away, because you're just doing what you have to do. “But I obviously hope that it will be as successful as Fool Me Once,” she continued. “They’re completely different stories. “Yes, they're both Harlan Coben, but this one feels smaller in a way, and more tender?
