Netflix fans rage as 'incredible show' is cancelled after just one season

Netflix viewers have aired their frustration on social media after it was announced that Dead Boy Detectives will not be returning for a second season.

The show, based on the DC Comics series by Neil Gaiman, Matt Wagner, and Malcolm Jones III, centres around two ghostly teens solving crimes in the netherworld.Despite existing within The Sandman universe and being lauded for its engaging narrative and representation of LGBTQ+ characters, the tales of the detective duo are left hanging with unresolved story arcs, to fans' dismay.Devotees took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their grief, with accusations pointed at the streaming giant for prematurely axing another show with much-unexplored potential.One despondent fan wrote: "I feel so bad for every single person who worked on dead boy detectives and put all their love into it." They continued: "I hope every single member of the cast has a wonderful career from this tv show.
