Neil Lennon has taken to live radio to throw his name into the hat for the Aberdeen job as he looks to make his management comeback. The 52-year-old has been out of work since leaving Cypriot side AC Omonia in October 2022, despite leading them to glory in the domestic cup.

Last week Lennon told Record Sport that he would be interested in the position at Pittodrie, which has now been vacated by interim boss Neil Warnock.

Dons chief executive Alan Burrows has confirmed that the club are now in the process of interviewing candidates for the job, and hope to have a new man in place before Aberdeen return from the upcoming international break to face Ross County on March 30.

First team coach Peter Leven has stepped in until a new manager is appointed, and will take charge of the side's next two games against Dundee and Motherwell.
