Ex Celtic starlet Karamoko Dembele has been urged to join promotion-chasing Leeds United or Leicester City over established top-flight clubs West Ham United or EvertonThat is the advice of former England international Carlton Palmer amid mounting interest in the 21-year-old who has been grabbing huge attention for his performances this season for English League One outfit Blackpool, where is on loan from French side Brest.The Hammers, Toffees – as well as Wolves, Brentford and Fulham – have all been linked with the player who played for both the Scotland and England youth international teams and made eight appearances for the Celtic first team.
But he left two years ago when he joined Brest, only to return to Britain with the Seasiders in England’s third tier. Dembele – who has seven goals and 12 assists in 40 appearances – has been a revelation and former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Palmer reckons he should join one of the current two two in the English Championship, albeit they are likely to be in the Premier League next season, if he gets the chance.He told Football League World: “Karamoko Dembele is attracting a lot of interest.
He is on loan at Blackpool which has seen the 21-year-old excel, he has been in superb form for Blackpool this season. He has contributed to 19 goals across all competitions.
This has brought him to the attention of West Ham and Everton, who are looking at the player. It will be interesting to see if they can make a deal with his present club to get him out.
