Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.
Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.
Neil Lennon is reportedly set to hold talks with Greek giants Olympiacos over their vacant managerial post.The former Hibernian and Celtic manager is keen to get back into the dugout after he was sacked by Cypriot side Omonia Nicosia back in October last year.
The Greek Super League club are on the look out for a new boss after Michel left the club last month. They are currently being managed by Sporting Director Jose Anigo.
The Edinburgh Evening News is reporting the Northern Irishman is expected to speak to the hierarchy at the club in the next 72 hours over a potential move.Olympiacos are currently in third place in the league three points ahead of PAOK and seven behind second-placed Panathinaikos.
A third-placed finish in the league would mean Europa Conference League qualifying rounds next season. During his time in Cyprus Lennon won the Cypriot Cup in 2022 when his side defeated Ethnikos Achna in the final.
