Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Odsonne Edouard wins a move from Parkhead. The Hoops gaffer is desperate to keep the 22-year-old Frenchman, who has been a revelation since arriving from PSG.Edouard’s current contract doesn’t expire until 2022.But despite opening up extension talks with the 28-goal frontman in June, there has been no progress on securing a new deal.

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has already shown interest in Edouard. And with an extended transfer window until October 5, Lennon is bracing himself for bids for some of his stars.

But having already replaced Moussa Dembele and Kieran Tierney in recent years for huge transfer fees, Lennon insists the club will be ready for any transfer eventuality.
