Neil Diamond retired from his music career in January 2018 after revealing to the world that he has Parkinson’s disease.
The 79-year-old singer-songwriter returned to the stage to perform at Keep Memory Alive’s Power of Love Gala on Saturday (March 7) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. “I’m feeling great,” Neil said at the event (via People). “This is an important thing they’re doing and I feel honored to be part of it and take part in it.” Neil performed a bunch of his hits, including “Sweet Caroline,” at the event, which raised money for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.
