NBC Sets Annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Special With Mickey Guyton & Zuri Hall As Hosts
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: NBC is gearing up for its annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks special, which will air live on Thursday, July 4 from 8-10 pm ET/PT on the network and Peacock.
It will be followed by an encore presentation at 10 pm ET/PT on NBC. Hosted by four-time Grammy-nominated country artist Mickey Guyton and Access Hollywood‘s Zuri Hall, the special will feature, of course, fireworks, musical performances and appearances by special guests.
For the first time in over a decade, the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks will be moving to the west side of Manhattan, launching from barges along the Hudson River.
For the past 9 years, the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks launched out of the East River. Lainey Wilson, Luis Fonsi, Tanner Adell and The War And Treaty will take the stage ahead of the fireworks display. “Year after year, this telecast never fails to inspire and awe, lighting up the New York skyline with a fireworks display that’s unmatched,” said Jen Neal, Executive Vice President of Live Events and Specials, NBCU Entertainment. “It’s this type of live programming event that brings us together as a nation, highlighting the distinctiveness of both our NBC and Peacock brands.” The 2024 edition will feature a never-before-seen firework — a silver cascading burst with a center kaleidoscope and alternating red and blue.
