A nan who was found 'wringing wet' in the garden after trying to manage a leak in her shed has slammed her housing association's 'goodwill gesture' as 'insulting' after making a complaint.
Patricia Toole, who suffers from arthritis and has a pacemaker and a blocked valve, claims she has been having to lift heavy buckets of water to control the leak at her home, the Liverpool Echo reports.
The 88-year-old avid gardener hasn't been able to enjoy her favourite hobby due to the leak, which has rusted 'hundreds of pounds worth of gardening tools', she said.
She and her granddaughter, Samantha Skillen, said they have been in contact with her housing association Onward Homes since December to try and get the problem fixed.
