A drugs courier parked in a live motorway lane before running across both sides of the M6 in order to avoid police. Ermal Cala was described as ‘naive and desperate’ as he abandoned his Mini Cooper on a stretch of the motorway and sprinted across six lanes of traffic.
After running through woodland at the side of the road, he was later found hiding in a garden. Five kilos of cannabis - worth an estimated £50,000 - was later recovered from his vehicle.

Prosecutor Daniel Bramhall told the court that a vehicle check found the vehicle was registered and insured to different parts of the country, reports Lancs Live.
Following the discovery, officers used their sirens to try and get him to stop. Mr Bramhall said: “After about one mile, the defendant stopped the vehicle in lane one of the motorway, forcing the officer to stop in a live lane of traffic.
