A man whose late wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s had 'no clue' their daughter had died of cancer before she passed away.
Clive Downing, 61, is now appealing for more support for families of those diagnosed with early-onset dementia after his wife Jayne was diagnosed aged jut 52.
Jayne, a support worker, had been struggling with memory loss - but Clive was 'shocked' when his 'lovely, caring, and glamorous' wife was handed the diagnosis in 2015.
Before her death, Jayne 'didn’t have a clue' that their daughter Faye, a 29-year-old mother of two, had died of breast cancer on August 20 2022, because her Alzheimer’s was 'so advanced'.
