Isabella Skelton, nee McDowall, vanished on June 6, 1969 and has not been seen since. The mum-of-three, known as Izzy, was just 35 when she left her home in north Manchester, never to return.

Back in April, detectives began a large-scale search of the family’s former home on Lidiard Street, in Crumpsall. Over the course of three months, specialist officers examined every inch of the terraced house, even excavating the cellar and foundations, as well as the backyard.
