Having lost his daughter Poppy to stillbirth in 2010, Wesley Jones wanted nothing more than to help others. The tragedy inspired the dad-of-five to join the medical field and he finally achieved that goal in January 2023.
Responding to emergency calls alongside paramedics, Wesley was thriving in his new role as an emergency care assistant and aiding those in need.
But the 37-year-old had only been in his position for three months when he was struck down by mysterious symptoms. Wesley, from Swinton, underwent a common procedure in his groin area in April 2023 and everything appeared to have gone well.
But that all changed when he began experiencing intense pain his legs and calves, making it difficult for him to walk. As time passed, the dad also started suffering from muscle spasms, tics, mood swings, fainting, numbness in limbs and overall weakness.
