It's always exciting being asked to be a bridesmaid – but you might be left wondering what dress the bride will pick out for you.
For those of us with hang-ups about particular parts of our bodies, we might hope our friend would pick out an outfit that flatters us.
But one woman was worried she was in the wrong for "making" her bridesmaid wear a dress that she felt didn't suit her. The woman explained that she'd "always loved the aesthetics of the regency era" so wanted to "incorporate it" in her wedding.
She decided her bridesmaids would "wear empire waist dresses, like the ones seen in Bridgerton or Pride and Prejudice." She said most of her bridesmaids were enthusiastic about the dress code – but there's one woman who is "very mad" about it, saying "the dress looks unflattering on her due to her body proportions."
