A police cordon is in place after the body of 67-year-old woman found in a house in Levenshulme. A murder investigation was launched after the grim discovery was made on Westminster Street at around 8.30pm on Thursday (May 7).
GMP confirmed a 67-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are now searching for a Leroy Panton, 41, who is believed to have lived at the same address as the deceased.
They said they are becoming 'increasingly concerned' for his welfare and urged anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
