Mum who knew something was wrong on once-in-a-lifetime holiday in Florida now wants to inspire others

A mum-of-two says she knew she had to lose weight after relying on a mobility scooter to get around on holiday. Amy Cunningham, 37, gained five stone after having her second child and eventually became a size 22.

She had become out-of-breath and unable to carry out much physical activity. Things came to a head when she was on a once-in-a-lifetime family holiday to Florida.

Unable to walk around the theme parks, Amy relied on a mobility scooter to get around, or had to sit down every 20 minutes to catch her breath.

The ordeal left her feeling self-conscious and she refused to be in any photographs, the Liverpool Echo reports.
