A single mum has opened up about the agonising choice she made to put two of her children up for adoption because she couldn't afford to raise them alone.

In an emotional revelation, Hannah Martin, 32, from Waymart, Pennsylvania, says: "The feeling of giving a child up for adoption is hurt.

It’s traumatic. It’s very heartbreaking, but at the same time, it’s heartwarming because you're doing the right thing." Now a stay-at-home mum with three kids, Hannah remembers the tough times when she placed her little girl Adriana up for adoption in 2011.

At just 19 years old and "excited but scared" upon discovering her pregnancy, Hannah recalls the circumstances leading to her decision. "I got pregnant by one of my brother's friends because we ended up just hooking up, being young and dumb," she admits, despite using birth control pills but not a condom.
