Surrounded by tinsel and baubles and with a huge beaming smile on his face, baby Rivan is preparing to enjoy all the fun of Christmas at home with his thankful family.
But it will be a celebration they thought might not happen - as the 18 month-old's life was saved by NHS 'angels' after he was struck down by pneumonia which led to one of his lungs collapsing.
Rivan's parents told how he's been 'all around the wards' at two different hospitals, but is now back at home in time to enjoy the big day with his siblings.
Rivan, from Ince in Wigan, was admitted to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool after spending a week at Warrington Hospital.
