A mum has avoided jail after drunkenly abusing a Ryanair flight attendant who asked her to stop vaping on board the plane. Jessica Horne, 33, was flying back from Fuerteventura to Manchester in March last year when events escalated.
She was moved to various seats around the plane after trying to touch and kiss the staff member, before launching into an expletive-ridden racist rant.
The abuse was the ‘worst he had ever seen’, prosecutor Lisa Boocock told Minshull Street Crown Court. Horne, of Briercliffe, Burnley, admitted entering an aircraft when drunk, racially aggravated harassment and two offences of assaulting a police officer, but was handed a suspended sentence.
