A mum died after downing four pints of water in just 20 minutes. Ashley Summers had complained of a sore head before trying to quench her thirst.
But she collapsed and was rushed to hospital, where medics discovered her brain had swelled. The 35-year-old was diagnosed with having a condition called hyponatremia.
More commonly known as water toxicity, it occurs when there is not enough sodium in the boy and too much water. The mum-of-two had also complained of feeling thirsty.The Mirror reports that the family were shocked by what had happened to their loved one.
