A mum who urged parents to stop tickling their children as it's "child abuse" has divided opinions. The unnamed woman claimed that if you’re ever tickling your child and they ask you to stop, you should do so immediately - even if you’re playing or they instigated it.
She explained that it’s about consent and teaching them that they have control over their body. But her plea left parents utterly baffled, as many argued that it’s just fun and games.
One woman, who commented on her Facebook post asked: “So it’d be child abuse to do it to my kids?“ She continued by pointing out that kids often change their mind - one minute they like it, the next they don’t, then they’re asking to be tickled more.
