Mum and daughter set to rack up the miles in running feat for Forth Valley debt charity

Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.A mother and daughter have teamed up despite distance and lockdown to raise funds to support the Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Debt Centre in Forth Valley.Helen Laing in Stirlingshire and her daughter Sarah in Edinburgh, have been running 5km per day throughout the month of March - a total of 310km between the two of them.Helen said: “We’ve set ourselves the challenge of running 5km a day, every day in the month of March.

This is to raise money specifically to support the work of the Forth Valley Debt Centre.”As lockdown eases and the Government furlough schemes come to an end there will be an increased demand for help with debt.Fiona Welsh, Forth.
