Mum, 45, 'thought nothing' of back pain before her world was forever changed

A mum-of-four who had dismissed her "back pain" and loss of appetite as minor issues was months later later given a devastating diagnosis.

Jo Bromilow, 45, from Maghull on Merseyside, received a devastating diagnosis of stage four pancreatic cancer on January 10 this year, just a few months after her symptoms began in August 2024.

Her daughter Mia, 21, said at first, Jo "didn't think anything" of her symptoms, but after a CT scan at Southport and Formby District General Hospital, the family's world was turned upside down.

Mia said: "She started getting back ache and she couldn't eat anything but we didn't think [it would be] anything like this.
