The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards have come to a close and all of the winners have been announced! The annual awards show with host Nicki Minaj took place on Tuesday night (September 12) held at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. Shakira was this year’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award recipient while Diddy was honored with the Global Icon Award.

Going into the awards show, Taylor Swift and SZA led the pack with the most nominations, and for the first time, female nominees dominate the top category for Video of the Year.
