MP hails East Kilbride firefighters for Ukraine support at charity fundraisers

East Kilbride Fire Station has been busy raising thousands of pounds to help local charities and people fleeing war-torn Ukraine.A charity car wash earlier this month raised a whopping £1550 for Ukranian refugees - with £775 donated to SCIAF's Ukraine Appeal and the other £775 going to Christian Aid's Ukraine Emergency Appeal.And last week's popular charity plant sale attracted hundreds of green-fingered locals with a wide selection of plants.Running for over 30 years and returning after a two-year hiatus following the pandemic, the popular local fundraiser raised an incredible £3486.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
