A 49-year-old man has been arrested after shots were fired at three locations in Liverpool, North West England, including a cinema.
The Showcase Cinema in Croxteth, a suburb of Liverpool, went into lockdown Wednesday night after a man threatened staff in the foyer before shooting outside, police said.
The authorities added that the cinema was still operational, with cinemagoers watching films on multiple screens inside the complex.
They were only made aware of the incident as they left the cinema. Police said no one at the cinema complex was injured. The incident came around 50 minutes after shots were fired at a corner store in the same area.
