A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a truck in Chorley. Police were called to the junction of Pall Mall and Coventry Street at 8.07am on Monday (January 13) following reports of a crash.
A man in his 50s, who was the motorcyclist, was rushed to hospital for treatment. Sadly, despite the best efforts of medical staff, his condition deteriorated and he sadly died on Saturday (January 18).
Lancashire Police said their thoughts remain with the man's family at this 'extremely distressing time', adding they are appealing for information on the crash.
Sgt Chris Evans, from their Road Policing Unit, said: “This collision has resulted in a man losing his life and my thoughts are very much with his loved ones at this difficult time. “Our work is ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what led to the collision and I would ask anyone with information or dashcam footage which could assist us in our enquiries to make contact as soon as possible.
