Motherwell Photographic Society members get positive feedback for entries into first digital image competition of new season

The judge for the first Motherwell Photographic Society digital image competition of the season was Jim Stevenson from Kilmaurs Photographic Club in Ayrshire.An accomplished photographer, Jim has achieved success in photography competitions locally and nationally.He provided constructive feedback on the 41 images entered into the competition and gave helpful advice on how he felt the images could be improved.

Second-equal was “White Lily in Blue Vase” by Margaret Dewar and “Breaking the Mould” by William Graham. Third-equal was “Push on Through” by William Graham, “Mongolian Horsemen” by Rodger Shearer and “Sunset Over the Fjord” by Rodger Shearer.Club President Colin Cameron thanked Jim for taking the time to judge the images and for the feedback given to the members.The meeting on Thursday, October 5 will be a practical night and club members are reminded to bring their cameras along on the night.Motherwell Photographic Society meets on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm in Holytown Community Centre, Stevenston Street, Holytown, ML1 4RG.Anyone with an interest in photography, no matter their level, is welcome to attend.The club website
