Motherwell, Wishaw and Carluke’s MP Pamela Nash visited the Motherwell Delivery Office to thank local postal workers during the busiest time of the year for their service.Christmas is Royal Mail’s busiest period, with around double the normal volume of letters and parcels processed.Pamela met with many of the 75 people working every day in Motherwell to get our mail delivered, seeing at close range the hard work that goes into this.She also met with Lead Customer Operations Manager, Stewart Donaldson, and CWU rep Jim McKinstray at the Muir Street base about Royal Mail’s strategy to make sending and receiving parcels as convenient as possible over the festive period, and the challenges being faced.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
