Morrissey is reported to have been 'dropped' by his record label BMG, after releasing what he called 'the best three albums of his career'.
In a statement shared to Morrissey Central, it is claimed that BMG's decision to part ways with the singer was allegedly made after the label hired a new Executive who wanted to 'diversify' the artist rota. "This news is perfectly in keeping with the relentless galvanic horror of 2020," Morrissey told the site, "we would be critically insane to expect anything positive." The singer, 61, added: "My three albums with BMG have been the best of my career, and I stand by them till death.
