Over one thousand homes and businesses in Westhoughton have been hit by a power cut. According to Electricity Northwest, the power cut has been caused by an 'unexpected incident'.
The issues relates to the high voltage cable that provides electricity to the area. An engineer is on the way to investigate the incident.

A statement on Electricity Northwest Website reads: "This power cut has been caused by an unexpected incident on the high voltage cable that provides electricity to your home or business.
