A monster 'bad boy' jellyfish washed up on a beach at a popular seaside village in north Wales. The huge fish was found on the foreshore at Fairbourne, in what was the latest in a series of giant jellyfish beachings in the county of Gwynedd, North Wales Live reports.

It was brought in by the tide to the mouth of the Mawddach estuary across the water from Barmouth. It was estimated to measure around one metre across, sparking people to label it a 'monster' and a 'bad boy'.

With jellyfish season now firmly underway, scores of smaller ones have been washed up all along the Welsh coastline. When a photo of the Fairbourne 'monster' was shared on social media, it prompted an outburst of startled exclamations. “Jeeeeeeze, size of that bad boy!!!!” said one woman. “Jesus Christ!” one man said.
