This was the moment a 'reckless' driver ploughed into a motorcyclist before leaving him lying in the road. Video footage shows 'selfish' Bryan Rothwell being pulled from his doorway and arrested moments later.
The 37-year-old had been under the influence of both drink and drugs when he crashed at a busy junction near Bury, before parking near his home minutes later.
Preston Crown Court heard this week how Rothwell dangerously turned right in a Ford Focus, straight across the path of a Mondial Flat Track 125 motorbike, at the junction of Blackburn Road and Pilling Street, in Haslingden.
The motorcyclist was unable to avoid the Focus during the incident, which took place at around 5.55pm on January 26 last year.
