A former British police detective who is helping Jay Slater's family in Tenerife has claimed the teenager was 'scared' when he left an Airbnb rental property and had allegedly 'taken a £12,000 Rolex' before he went missing.
The 19-year-old disappeared on the morning of June 17 after leaving the Airbnb in the north of the island, close to the village of Masca in the Rural de Teno Park.
Jay, from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, had travelled there with two British men after leaving a nightclub in Playa de las Americas.
Mark Williams-Thomas, who has probed a string of high-profile missing persons cases, has now claimed that the teenager would have been 'feeling scared' when he left the property on the Monday morning.
