A friend of the family of missing Jay Slater who set up a Facebook group to help the search has claimed the 19-year-old’s Instagram account has been hacked.
The apprentice bricklayer, from from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, vanished in Tenerife on Monday, June 17, after attending a rave and returning to stay the night at a remote Airbnb with two British men.
He was last heard from by his freind Lucy Mae as he attempted to make his way back to the town of Los Christianos, where he was orginally staying.
Despite a massive search operation that saw helicopters, drones and sniffer dogs deployed across the Spanish island, officers were unable to find the teenager, and called off their search two weeks in.
