A missing hiker was reportedly last seen by a Spanish Olympic skier who said she carried on towards the summit of the mountain after asking for fruit.
Marti Vigo del Arco said he was hiking down a trail high in the mountains with his girlfriend when they met an English woman coming the other way on November 22.
The skier told Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia that the woman "was very heavily loaded with a very big backpack". It is believed the adventurer he met was British backpacker Esther Dingley, 37, who went missing two weeks ago after setting out to trek from the Port de la Glere to the Port de Venasque - a route which follows the border between France and Spain.
