Bhasha Mukherjee - a 24-year-old who was crowned Miss England in 2019 - found herself trapped in India at the start of the pandemic after flying out there to take part in a charity trip.
She ended up begging for help to return to the UK and help the NHS after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi implemented travel bans to stop the spread of coronavirus.
Earlier this month, after a marathon 30-hour journey home, Bhasha was able to get back into her scrubs and help the UK's battle against Covid-19.
