Miracle Workers has come to an end. TBS has canceled the anthology comedy series, its last remaining live-action comedy, after four seasons.
The Season 4 finale, which is now the series finale, aired August 28. The cancellation is not entirely unexpected. Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva reported in January that Season 4 could be the last.
At the time, she heard that TBS no longer had options on the cast, led by Daniel Radcliffe, so new deals would need to be made for a possible fifth season — a daunting proposition, which networks rarely resort to.
But she heard that the series’ creative team had an idea for a potential fifth season that Radcliffe was excited about, so, if Season 4 did well ratings-wise, it was possible that the show could have continued with Radcliffe, who would have needed to make a new pact.
