Mira is survived by her husband, Serbian filmmaker Goran Gajić, and and their son, Marko Lav Gajić.The star, who was born in the former Yugoslavia, moved to the US in 1991.

Two years later she landed the role of Delenn in Babylon 5.She stayed on the show for five seasons until its series finale in 1998.In 2004, she was cast as Danielle Rousseau in the Fox TV series Lost and appeared in 25 episodes between 2004 and 2010.

Fans took to Twitter to pay tribute to Mira, with one person writing: “This one hits hard, I’m not going to lie. Mira Furlan was awesome as Delenn and she makes me cry every time I watch B5‘s Sleeping in Light finale.

Pathé Boards New Matteo Garrone Drama ‘Io Capitano,’ Partly Set in Africa (EXCLUSIVE)
