Two military planes were spotted flying over Greater Manchester again today. The RAF has been making the most of the clear skies and empty runways during the coronavirus lockdown, carrying out various training exercises.
People said they saw the aircraft over Tameside, Stockport and Wigan. The RAF have been carrying out training exercises on two of their aircraft today.
A C-130J Hercules, from RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, could be seen travelling between Newcastle and Manchester this morning.
The RAF confirmed a C-17 Globemaster aircraft was also operating in essential training this afternoon in the areas of Manchester and Birmingham.
