Mikel Arteta might not be able to guide Arsenal back into the Champions League. That’s according to French football journalist Philippe Auclair, who reckons the north Londoners have issues in their hierarchy that the Spaniard will struggle to overcome.
Arteta was given the nod after Unai Emery’s dismissal in November. And since taking charge he’s masterminded an upturn in performances, but the north Londoners are still only ninth in the table.
A top-five finish would, in theory, put his side back in the Champions League next season. However, it’s not yet clear when the campaign will wrap up.
