Michelle Rodriguez, Noah Hawley and Alamo Drafthouse Founders Set for Texas Film Awards Honors

William Earl “Fast and Furious” star Michelle Rodriguez, “Fargo” and “Alien: Earth” showrunner Noah Hawley and the founders of the Alamo Drafthouse exhibition chain will be feted in March at the 25th annual Texas Film Awards, presented by the Austin Film Society.

The event is set for March 6 at Distribution Hall in Austin. Alamo Drafthouse founders Tim League and Karrie League will be inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame with Rodriguez and Hawley as part of the ceremony.

Rodriguez’s award will be presented by Lone Star state filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, who has worked with Rodriguez on 2019’s “Alita: Battle Angel,” 2010’s “Machete” and 2013’s “Machete Kills.” The actress is known for her long run on Universal Pictures’ “Fast and Furious” franchise, among other roles.

Hawley is a prolific writer, showrunner and novelist who has spearheaded FX’s anthology series “Fargo” since 2014. He is behind FX’s upcoming event series “Alien: Earth.” He’s been an Austin resident for 15 years and runs his 26 Keys production banner out of the city.
